🚀 KaefiBOT v1.9.9

Over the past 7 months we’ve been working hard to give KaefiBOT a full overhaul – more stability, fresh features, cleaner integrations, and tons of bugfixes. This is our biggest update yet! 🎉

🛠️ General

• Improved crash handling: sensitive information (like system usernames that could contain e-mails) will never appear in crash logs. This was never collected before, but is now explicitly prevented as a precaution.
• Modernized link opening across platforms 🔗
• Updated internal libraries and removed obsolete code to keep KaefiBOT future-proof.
• Cleaner build & debug workflows.

💬 Discord

• Fixed startup & connection issues with Discord channels.
• Profile images in embeds now display correctly 🖼️
• Empty voice channels are ignored.
• Announcement avatars no longer distorted.
• Default alert channel setup now works reliably.
• Added multi-language support 🌍

🎵 Spotify

• Crashes on inactive devices fixed, better error handling.
• Improved refresh token handling 🔑
• No more duplicate track entries, better empty-track checks.
• Fixed requests on invalid/empty tracks.
• Stabilized song updates 🎶
• Chatlogger issues caused by Spotify resolved.
• New !sr queue command: shows the next single song in the request queue – e.g. if your own request is up next.
• Audio system reworked – please re-adjust Master/Trigger/Joinsounds/Alerts 🔊

🎥 Twitch

• Shout-out system reworked:
  • ✨ New: Auto shout-outs when your channel goes live.
  • ✨ New: Whitelist for auto shout-outs – define who gets them while you’re live.
  • Global shout-outs supported 🌐
  • Invalid username errors & spammy logs fixed.
• Improved token & OAuth handling.
• Announcements fetch latest Twitch info before posting.
• Support for Twitch HypeTrain events 🚂

🎮 Game Detection Service (GDS)

• Async performance boost ⚡
• Fixed box art & metadata (e.g. VtM Bloodlines 2, Factorio future versions).
• Experimental Steam integration: maybe faster game fetching… no guarantees, it’s Steam after all 😉

🗒️ Chatlogger

• Auto-cleanup of old messages after long sessions 🧹
• Crash recovery now restores last 50 entries for faster restarts.
• Locked/undeletable log issues fixed.
• Clearer error messages & safer file handling.

🔧 Other Fixes / Improvements

• Cross-platform file dialog added (no more warning spam).
• Channelpoint reward handling reworked 🏆
• Database: SQL injection prevention, caching & async improvements, rare disconnects fixed.
• YouTube support removed ❌: API instability made it impossible to maintain – SpotifyNOW remains supported 🎵

• Async handling in Discord, InteractiveInput & Notebook improved.
• Dispatcher timing bugfixes.
